Spelling- The words for lesson 9 are: yes, ten, let, red, bed, get. The vocabulary (“R” book) words that are on the spelling test are: after, read, was, pictures. The children will write all 10 spelling words 3x each for homework by Wednesday. There will be a Spelling test on Friday. We will soon be writing sentences for our spelling words. I will start out slowly!
Phonics- short e, blends with s
Language Arts- singular and plural nouns
Reading: The next story we will be reading is “Dr. Seuss”. The tests for lesson 9 will be given on Friday. Please remind your child to read the words in their “R” book nightly.
Math- Chapter 4-Subtraction strategies
Religion- Daily devotions and bible stories
Science- Sound
Social Studies- Communities
Weekly Reader- A Heart full of Thanks
1AA News
Parent/teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, 11/19 by Zoom. Please make sure you sign up for a conference time. I am available in the morning, afternoon or evening. School is closed for the students on Thursday.
As the weather gets colder, please make sure your child has enough warm outerwear as we try to go out often to give the children a chance to run around!
