Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s class notes!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling-The words for this week are: can, had, cat, ran, an, bad. The vocabulary (“R” book) words that are on the spelling test are: away, call, come, said. The children will write their 10 spelling words 3x each for homework by Wednesday. The spelling test will be on Friday.
Phonics- -ck, /a/
Language Arts- complete sentences
Reading: We will read the story Jack and the Wolf . The children will read it again at home. They will compare Jack and the Wolf to The Three Little pigs (in their hard covered reading books). There will be a Reading test on Friday.
Math- chapter 3- addition strategies
Religion- Daily devotions and Bible stories from religion book 2
Social Studies- Complete unit 1 (book 1)
Test Wednesday (10/28)
The book was sent home last week to help your child review the yellow highlighted vocabulary words
1AA News
Scholastic book order flyers went home and are due back by Tuesday, 11/3. Please consider ordering a book for your child. Orders can also be placed online at scholastic.com/bookclubs with our class code: H6DVY
The children should be reviewing their “R” book sight words nightly. Four of the words will be on the spelling test as listed.
Ask your child if they are in need of any school supplies (pencils, glue, crayons, erasers) and send them in as soon as possible.
Please remember to check your child’s folder each night and remove the papers. Also, check and initial their homework (including their “S” book).
