Mrs. Flomer’s Notes for the week of January 17th.
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The new words for this week are: came, make, brave, late, gave, shape. The “R” book words on the test are: four, over, two, starts. The children will write their spelling words 3x each for homework and 4 sentences by Thursday. Test will be given on Friday.
Phonics- long a, soft c, g, -dge, -ake, -ace
Language Arts- We will read the story The Big Race this week. The children will read it again at home. Some of the skills include expression when reading, informative writing, verbs, conclusions, cause and effect. The test will be given on Friday.
Math- finishing chapter five: Related facts
Test next week on Tuesday, 1/25
Science- Hibernation
Social Studies- Continents and Oceans
Religion- Life of Jesus
Weekly Reader- Our Community

School is closed on Monday, 1/17 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Please send in new crayons, pencils, or glue sticks with your child if they are in need of them.
