I hope you enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend! Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week:
Spelling- The new words are leg, men, beg, hen, head, bread, there, and again. The spelling test will be on THURSDAY this week. The children should write their words in their “S” books by Wednesday.
Phonics- blending, short O words, writing words
Reading- The new “R” book words are: again, help, there, new, use
We will read the story “The Red Hat”. The test will be given on THURSDAY this week. The format will be the same as last week’s test. We will focus on -ed endings, nouns, and using commas in a list of nouns.
Social Studies- Our Community
Weekly Reader- Veteran’s Day
Religion- The 10 Commandments
NEWS
There is no school on Friday, November 11th in observance of Veteran’s Day. The tests in Reading and Spelling will be given on Thursday this week.
We will be on a different test schedule after this week, due to all the days off in November.
You will be able to sign up this week for a parent/teacher conference for November 17th. There will be available times in the morning, afternoon and early evening. School is not in session that day.
