BOO! I can’t believe we are in the last week of October already! Time sure does fly when you’re having fun. As we strive to keep everyone safe, please remember to complete the daily attestations each morning prior to coming to school.
We have so many fun activities planned for this week. Monday kicks off our spirit week with pajama day. I hope everyone can participate. Wednesday is red day (wear anything red) and Friday is orange day (wear anything orange). On Wednesday, the Hicksville Fire Department will visit our school. The children will get to meet firefighters and take a tour of a firetruck. On Friday, we will have an orange/pumpkin party and we will visit a pumpkin patch at Trinity where the children can pick a pumpkin and decorate it to take home.
The theme for the week is spooky. There will be ghosts and witches in the air – literally! The boys and girls will make a ghost and witch craft this week. We will read stories about pumpkins and Halloween. During centers, we will play with spider webs (cooked spaghetti) and be little scientists as we explore the inside of a pumpkin.
