Happy Thanksgiving! We have a short but fun week in store for us with so much to do. Thank you to everyone for your generous donations of baby items for the National Junior Honor Society’s annual food drive for Long Island Cares.  As we strive to keep everyone safe, please remember to complete the daily attestations each morning prior to coming to school.

This week we will celebrate Thanksgiving and continue to practice for our Christmas program. Our My Big World reader this week is What is Thanksgiving. We will talk about Jesus and all the things we are thankful for.  God has blessed us with so many good things in our lives and we will thank God for all his creations and for our blessings.  We will reread our creation book that we made last week.  Be sure to have your child read it to you when it comes home.  They did an amazing job on it.

We have a lot of fun in store for our short week.  We will sing the “I am Thankful Song”, “If You’re Thankful and You Know It”, “Five Fat Turkeys,” “Ten Little Turkeys”, and the kid’s favorite, “My God is so Big”.

Our Thanksgiving feast is on Wednesday, November 24th.  We will eat at 11:00am.  After our meal and our dessert party (thank you all for providing the treats for our party), we will go on our Turkey Trot.  Parents (or grandparents, aunt, uncle, etc.) are encouraged to join us. Please limit to two adults per child.  Please meet us at 12:15pm by the handicap parking lot (on W Nicholai street). The weather for Wednesday looks great! I will dismiss the kids to you after the trot at 12:30pm.
