Last week we explored silly monster stories, but we were not scared. We discussed our feelings and learned ways to cope with some complicated emotions. When Halloween arrives on Monday, we will not be scared!
We have fun Halloween plans for our class. On Monday, please wear your best ORANGE Halloween outfits. We will have a special Halloween snack, spooky haunted games and Halloween crafts. It should be a great party!
Next, we will dive into the season of “Fall”. We’ll go on an outdoor nature walk to observe the changes fall brings to our environment first hand. We will learn about how animals get ready for winter and about “hibernation.” We will also discuss the importance of the harvest season and create autumn scarecrows and colorful leaf art. We will thank God for all the beauty of his creation during the fall season at Jesus Time and begin to practice our music for the holidays.
For homework this week, please go on a little nature walk with your child and pick up one colorful leaf to send to class with your child by this Friday. Next week we will explore the nature of trees and leaves.
