This week we will prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving as a class. We will enjoy a variety of activities all about turkeys. We will learn about the biology and life cycle of the Turkey bird. We will read Turkey stories and sing fun Turkey songs. We will also perform the finger plays – “Five Fat Turkeys” and “Ten Little Turkeys.” We will create cards, placemats and headbands to make our Thanksgiving feast extra fancy. On Friday, we will take a virtual field trip to a Turkey farm using our smart board. Letter Tt will be the letter of the week.
Our school Thanksgiving feast will be held on Wednesday, November 24th. The school will be providing a traditional Thanksgiving feast for each of the classrooms. All students are invited to attend school on this day to enjoy the day’s festivities. Tuesday / Thursday only and morning students should be picked up at 12:30 pm at the ECC Entrance.
