Happy Halloween! Monday is going to be so much fun with our games in the gym, a special treat in the classroom, and a baking activity. Please wear your favorite orange clothes for orange day!
This week is the fourth week in our family unit with the topic “All Kinds of Families”. We will read You and Me Together, and We are all Alike… We are all Different. Our vocabulary words will be: respect, similar, special, and tradition.
Math this week will be about #8, purple, and octagon. We will also practice sorting after we go on a leaf hunt and look for different color leaves. We will also read Harold and the Purple Crayon and create our own purple adventures.
Our letter for the week is Ff. We will practice writing the letter F, we will create a list of Ff words and practice writing some of them. We will also have Ff show and tell so please remember to help your child choose an Ff item from home to bring in on Friday.
We will be starting a thankful unit for Jesus time. The first story is about Joshua and Jericho with the reminder to be thankful for the cities in which God gives us to live. We will also be learning 2 new thankful songs and a new thankful prayer for snack and lunch: Thank you for the world so sweet, thank you for the food we eat. Thank you for the birds that sing, Thank you God for everything. Amen.

October 31st is our ECC Halloween Fun Day! No costumes are to be worn to school, but children can wear an orange/Halloween theme shirt.
November 8th picture day.
November 11th NO SCHOOL for Veteran’s Day.
November 23rd school-wide Thanksgiving Feast.
November 24-25th NO SCHOOL for Thanksgiving recess.
