Welcome to October! It may be fall but it certainly still feels like summer!

This week we finish up our first Big Day unit with the theme “Getting Along”. We will read 2 versions of The Little Red Hen and compare them, and How Many Can Play? Our new vocabulary words will be: cooperate, share, turns.

Math this week will be about the number 4, pink, and triangle. We will also compare with the words: more, less, and same.

We will learn letter Bb this week and read the story “BB Bunny”, and learn a song about the letter Bb. We will also make a B is for Bandaid craft.

For Jesus time we will learn about Abraham. We will continue to learn different Jesus songs including “Jesus Loves the Little Children”, and “Jesus Loves Me”. We will also practice our bible verse “Walk as children of light”.

Science this week will be about farm animals. We will finish a sheep craft with Mrs. Kerwin on Tuesday and we will also make a muddy pig project. We will learn the names of baby animals, and play with pigs in “mud”.

The first week in October is fire safety week. We will read a Scholastic Weekly Reader about fire safety.

Things to remember:
