This week we will continue with our Imagine it, Make it unit. We will read Science Tools, and Alphabet Under Construction. Our vocabulary words will be: invention, structure, ramp, bridge, build, and tools.
Our letter for this week will be Qq. We will practice writing the letter Q, make a list of Qq words, and have Qq show and tell on Friday.
For math this week we will learn number 16 and review patterns.
In Jesus time we will learn about Jesus blessing the children. We are also working on learning 2 new songs: Follow me, and Jesus is my Valentine. We also have a new snack and lunch prayer: Bless us oh Lord, and these Thy gifts, we are about to receive, from Thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Continuing with Black History Month we will be learning about Oprah Winfrey this week. We will also have a weekly reader about Alma Thomas and her beautiful artwork. We will try to create an Alma inspired painting to add to our Black History Month wall.
February is also dental health month so on Thursday we will be having a visit from the dentist.
On Friday we will be taking a walk to the mailbox to mail our special Valentine’s Day cards to moms and dads.
