The Week Ahead:
ECC4 ~ This week we will use markers to create the feathers for our Coffee Filter Turkeys
Kindergarten ~ We will finish up our Color Theory packet and start our new project Cool Moon/Warm Sun. In this project we will use a variety of line families and our Cool and Warm colored crayons.
Gr. 1 ~ Poppies in Perspective Lesson/students will view the Pop-up book of artist Robert Sabuda and a short video clip of The Wizard of Oz movie for inspiration in a lesson on perspective in drawing.
Gr. 2 ~ Second graders will view a short video on the artist V. VanGogh and analyze his masterpiece Starry, Starry Night. The lesson will culminate with the class drawing a picture in the style of VanGogh. Look out for LOTS and LOTS of LINES and SWIRLS!
Gr. 4 ~ This class will enjoy a lesson on the Pop Art Movement (Warhol, Lichtenstein, and Jean-Michel Basquiat ). At our next class they will start on designing their own pop art masterpieces.
Gr. 5 ~ It’s time to watercolor our Faux Batik Fall Leaf projects. Students will be blending colors to create the look of the ancient art of Batik.
Gr. 6 ~ This class is working hard on their Positive/Negative Design drawings.
Gr. 8 ~ Our Eighth graders will enjoy using their IMAGINATIONS as they select a drawing prompt to be used as inspiration for a sketch in their Drawing Journals.
