Week 11

The Christmas pageant is on Tuesday, December 13th. . Mr. DeVries has assigned the parts and we have begun practicing in the classroom. Please help your child prepare by going over lines and making sure that your child has his or her costume (once Mr. DeVries lets you know what they are).

We are continuing to work on multiplication. On Tuesday, November 15th, we are going to have 3 as a factor.

We are reading Bat Love the Night and will have both the comprehension and vocabulary tests on Wednesday, November 16th. We will focus on the target skills Sequence of Events and Domain-Specific Vocabulary. Our target strategy is question. Our vocabulary words are twitch, swoops, squeak, echoes, detail, slithers, dozes, and snuggles.

On Tuesday, November 15th, we will have both the spelling and grammar tests.  The Spelling words are math, toast, easy, socks, Friday, stuff, paid, cheese, June, elbow, program, shiny, piles, stick, each, bath, comb, and holiday. The grammar test will focus on action verbs.

We are having a memory test on Matthew 28:19 on Wednesday, November 16th.

In Science, we are learning about  animals and how to classify them..
