It is so great having the whole crew of students in the classroom for these final days!  They had so much fun during Field Day this past week.  Although it was a shortened version of what they are used to, the events were fun and it was a nice time outside.  We have finished most of our academic subjects.  The final Math test will be given next week.  This week we will be celebrating some summer birthdays and I have a special end of the year surprise for the class on Friday.  Stay tuned for information from the class moms about an end of the year picnic as well!

WEEK: June 7-11

Reading:  Short stories and story structure graphic organizers

Grammar: End of year review packet

Math: Metric units of measurement; time; elapsed time

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • A note of thank to the 4th grade families who contributed to the class Wingo basket.  I thought it was the best of the bunch!
  • Next week students will begin to bring home supplies from the classroom.  Please send a sturdy extra bag to school with them beginning Monday, 6/14 so that they can bring a few things home each day.  I do not send home consumable books that have been used unless requested so please let me know if you want the used workbooks.

This week’s prayer video:  We are counting down out Top Ten songs of the year.  There are some fantastic picks!
