“Christmas time is here…”
We are all excited that Christmas is here! This week will be a little different as we prepare for the coming of the Lord on Christmas Day! We will be having our Christmas Party on Friday. Isabella’s family is sending in pizza for lunch as part of our celebration, so I will not be sending home pizza envelopes this week.
Math
We are having a test on Chapter 5 on Wednesday. Please remember that taking the time to memorize multiplication facts in 3rd grade is so important to your child’s success in Math in future grades. Please review them nightly.
ELA
We are not having any ELA tests (including spelling) this week. Instead we will be working in our Sadlier vocabulary books. Here is a link to additional practice and games associated with our book.
Social Studies
We are in our chapter on Economics. We will be having a test on Thursday. It will cover Lesson 1: Goods and Services pages 48-53. The vocabulary words it will cover include goods, services, consumer, local, producer, import, export, rely, and purchase. The children should be studying the vocabulary words each night and reviewing their notes. Additionally, I will be sending home the pages in our class book for them to read over.
Science
We are studying how animals work together in groups in order to survive.
Religion
We are having a test on the Third Commandment and its meaning.
