I hope everyone enjoyed their snow days!  We have one week back at school, and then we are off for winter break. On Tuesday, we are celebrating Valentine’s Day.It is a non-uniform RED day. Your child is welcomed to bring in cards to share among all classmates. Remember there are 16 students, and we are a peanut-free class. Scholastic Book orders are due Monday.

On Friday, your child has the opportunity to participate in The Giving Back Through Song fundraiser benefiting Long Island Cares. The cost to participate is $3.00. It would be wonderful if everyone in our class joined in to support this cause.

We are finishing up the ELA benchmark tests this week. I will not be giving any other ELA tests this week. We are reading as a class “Ramona Quimby, Age 8” by Beverly Cleary.

We have finished our last chapter on division. We are having the test on Monday, and then we start fractions on Tuesday. We will continue practicing our multiplication facts using Rocket Math.

We are studying South Africa in Social Studies.  We have gone over the geography and we will begin to look at the history.

Our Religion Memory Test this week is on Matthew 19:6 – “They are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate”.
