Math 6

This week we are starting a new chapter on decimals. We will be reviewing how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using decimals.  There are no tests or quizzes this week.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Math 7

This week we will be continuing working with percents.  This week our focus will be on discounts, tax, and tips.  There will be a quiz on applied percent of increase and decrease on Tuesday, 11/10.  At the end of the week, we will be working on a percent project.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Math 8 (Pre-Algebra)

We are finishing up our unit on solving equations.  Our unit test will be on Tuesday, 11/10.  The test covers 2 step equations, multi-step equations, equations with variables on both sides, equations containing fractions, equation word problems, consecutive integer problems, and transforming formulas.   When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Algebra

This week we are finishing up with Chapter 5.  We will be reviewing for our test in the beginning of the week. The test is on Thursday, 11/12.  The test covers graphing a line using a table, x and y intercepts, slope intercept form, point slope form, writing equations given 2 points, writing equations of parallel and perpendicular lines, scatter plots, trend lines, linear regression, and graphing absolute value equations.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.
